DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Directly responsible to the K-12 Principal.
 Responsible for curriculum/lesson plans for the instruction of all Middle Level Math Courses.
 Responsible for record keeping of the aforementioned Math classes, i.e.: attendance, grade reports,
quarterly reports, class scheduling, deficiency reports, etc.
 Participate in PLC’s designed to improve K-12 Math program.
 Infuse, to the greatest extent possible, Ojibwe Language and Culture into all curriculum/lesson plans.
 Responsible for ordering classroom, curriculum, resource materials for the Mathematics department.
 Meets with parents, in conjunction with the Principal and Counselor regarding student deficiency
reports, disciplinary measures and attendance.
 Act as grade level advisor.
 Works with the Home/School Coordinator and Counselor re: parents’ home visits and in-school
conferences.
 Engage in active communication with parents and stakeholders.
 Assists in hall monitoring, lunch duty rotation.
 Attends staff meetings.
 Assists in school events such as, but not limited to, the assemblies, powwows, student Awards
Program and graduations.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
 Wisconsin license certification 400 required, or K-8 Licensure.
 Experience teaching American Indian youth preferred.
 Must be supportive of the philosophy, concept, policy and procedures of the Lac Courte Oreilles
Ojibwe School.
 Native American preference in employment.
