Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly responsible to the K-12 Principal.
Responsible for curriculum/lesson plans for the instruction of all Middle Level Math Courses.
Responsible for record keeping of the aforementioned Math classes, i.e.: attendance, grade reports,
quarterly reports, class scheduling, deficiency reports, etc.
Participate in PLC’s designed to improve K-12 Math program.
Infuse, to the greatest extent possible, Ojibwe Language and Culture into all curriculum/lesson plans.
Responsible for ordering classroom, curriculum, resource materials for the Mathematics department.
Meets with parents, in conjunction with the Principal and Counselor regarding student deficiency
reports, disciplinary measures and attendance.
Act as grade level advisor.
Works with the Home/School Coordinator and Counselor re: parents’ home visits and in-school
conferences.
Engage in active communication with parents and stakeholders.
Assists in hall monitoring, lunch duty rotation.
Attends staff meetings.
Assists in school events such as, but not limited to, the assemblies, powwows, student Awards
Program and graduations.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Wisconsin license certification 400 required, or K-8 Licensure.
Experience teaching American Indian youth preferred.
Must be supportive of the philosophy, concept, policy and procedures of the Lac Courte Oreilles
Ojibwe School.
Native American preference in employment.
