Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly responsible to the classroom teacher and K-12 Principal.
Supervise classroom and students in teachers’ absence.
Assist in instruction, supports assessments and monitoring.
Assist with classroom behavior management.
Assist with small groups.
Possess computer skills; ability to communicate electronically.
Correct student assignments and papers as needed.
Supervise students to and from special classes (Music, Art, P.E., etc.).
Assigned to playground, breakfast, lunch duty, hall duty monitoring.
Assist in the production of resource materials.
Participate in staff development, professional learning committees.
Assist in school wide planning/collaboration of events and programs; assemblies, powwows, graduations,
etc.
Perform other duties determined by the classroom teacher.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
AA degree or 64 college credits in Childhood Education preferred.
Experience working with Native American youth preferred.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Background investigation, drug test.
Must be supportive of the philosophy, concept, policy and procedures of the Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe-
Waadookodaading School.
Native American preference in employment.
AA degree or 64 college credits in Childhood Education preferred.
Experience working with Native American youth preferred.
