Elementary Paraprofessional/Teacher Aides

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Directly responsible to the classroom teacher and K-12 Principal.
 Supervise classroom and students in teachers’ absence.
 Assist in instruction, supports assessments and monitoring.
 Assist with classroom behavior management.
 Assist with small groups.
 Possess computer skills; ability to communicate electronically.
 Correct student assignments and papers as needed.
 Supervise students to and from special classes (Music, Art, P.E., etc.).
 Assigned to playground, breakfast, lunch duty, hall duty monitoring.
 Assist in the production of resource materials.
 Participate in staff development, professional learning committees.
 Assist in school wide planning/collaboration of events and programs; assemblies, powwows, graduations,
etc.
 Perform other duties determined by the classroom teacher.

QUALIFICATIONS:
 AA degree or 64 college credits in Childhood Education preferred.
 Experience working with Native American youth preferred.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
 Background investigation, drug test.
 Must be supportive of the philosophy, concept, policy and procedures of the Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe-
Waadookodaading School.
 Native American preference in employment.
