Boozhoo! My name is Jessica Hutchison and I am the superintendent for the Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe School. I have been working at LCO since 2002 in a variety of capacities. For the bulk of my career I was the High School Social Studies Instructor as well as a basketball coach for the girls high school team.
I was hired as the principal in December of 2014 after completing my administrator program through the University of Wisconsin-Superior and my licensure requirements through the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.
My priorities as the superintendent for Lac Courte Oreilles are to strengthen the communication between the school and the parents and families served by the Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe School through frequent updates from teachers, use of the school website and Facebook page, and invitations to participate in weekly and monthly events at the school and to celebrate the hard work and achievements of our staff and students. I will continue to focus on leading Lac Courte Oreilles into the future with plans for new programs, new construction and support for all of our new families.
