Boozhoo!

My name is Sara Ross Poquette and I am the School Social Worker for the Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe School.  In my educational background I have a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.  I also hold a Social Work Certification (CSW).  My previous experience includes fourteen years as a child protective services social worker serving the Lac Courte Oreilles Tribe and Sawyer County.  I continue to serve on the Sawyer County/Lac Courte Oreilles Multidisciplinary and Drug Endangered Children Teams.  It is also an honor to serve on the Wisconsin Alliance for Drug Endangered Children Statewide Steering Committee.

My office is located in the elementary office area and I can be reached there, by telephone or via e-mail.  It is our goal to engage families in achieving academic success for our students. We are happy to provide support to children and families in any way possible.

If there is something that myself, or anyone on the counseling team can do to assist a student and their family please feel free to contact us.  We are glad to work with the community to help our students have the best educational and cultural experience at school.
